Persistence Pays Off - New Bylaws and Board Members
The American Heritage dictionary defines Persistence as “Refusing to give up or let go; persevering obstinately.” That describes the Lindo Mar board of directors and their effort to amend the bylaws to allow five board members who serve staggered terms. After at least three tries since 1994, enough of the eligible members voted “Yes” and the board has been expanded.
A more detailed explanation will be in the newsletter in January but, in a nutshell, 75.24% of all the eligible members voted for having five members on the board serving terms that do not all end in the same year. As a result, the Lindo Mar Adventure Club, Ltd. Board of Directors now consists of Chuck Ahlstrom, John Gilbert, and Poul Hansen, plus the new appointees Sandra Wicks and Wally Sharp. There will be more about them in the January newsletter, as well. In the meantime, Congratulations! to the new members. Glad to have you aboard.
